At time or original publishing here is the master track chain, that I am playing with in Ableton.

EQ8
- On this I basically kill anything below 20 to 25 Hz. I figure this is the bottom for the average set of ears frequency response range. I just get rid of it to help reduce the extra noise. I suppose you could also do this at the very top end of the spectrum as well, but I have not been experimenting with that just yet.

Multiband Dynamics

Utility
- I use this to help mono the very low bass. The preset is generally around 120 Hz, and most times I will lower it just a tiny bit. I am not sure my studio monitors could tell me the difference with changes here. I think this idea or belief comes from days when I did live mixing, and we used to do something similar.

Limiter
- I push the ceiling to -0.30 dB on this, but this setting changes often. From here I add some gain to push the overall output a bit.
Ableton Master Track Chain
The past few videos I watched discussed on different ways to use Ableton, and how to get to the final mix on a song. I figured out why not on the next few songs, and see how things turn up. As I complete them I will link them in this post. Not that I have been using Ableton that long, more of I can recognize that I am in a specific pattern of things, and it is time to shake up my thinking a little bit.
